Trusts | Online Course
21 – 22 April 2026 | Duration: 12:00 – 15:30
Handling the administration of trusts
About this course
- This course centres around the theory relating to trusts, more than the practical drafting of trusts. It is imperative that everyone rendering a service in terms of trusts first understands the basic theory on trusts before doing so. Most of the basic principles relating to trusts are canvassed, as well as the different types of trusts that are available in South Africa (being inclusive of discussion on the Trust Property Control Act and other legislation pertaining to trusts). The aim of the course is to alleviate the misconception that trusts are complicated which results in many practitioners steering clear of rendering services in this field of law. The course strives to set out the legislative requirements and enforcements in respect of trusts, to enable individuals to better understand trusts and not feel threatened by its use and applications.
