About this online course

The main aim of this course is to give learners the skills and confidence to manage their own work professionally as well as all administrative duties within a legal practitioner’s office. Presenter

Alta van der Walt obtained her BA Business Management degree at Griffiths University and has been working as a practice manager for over 25 years. She has a passion for good business practices and has been lecturing Practice, Business and Management topics for the Law Society of South Africa’s Legal Education and Development (LEAD) Division for the past 13 years.

Legal support staff members who would like to improve their administration skills especially Receptionists, PRO’s, Office Administrators, Typists, Messengers and Filing Clerks.

Registration fee categories (including VAT):

  • Practising legal practitioners and other staff from legal firms: R1 800 per person
  • Non-practising legal practitioners/others: R2 700 per person

How to register

Kindly note that registrations are done online. For certification purposes, participants should register individually, using their own email address. This will enable the system to generate a unique username and password for each person.

Step 1: Payment

Payment should be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) only. You are required to upload the proof of payment (PDF) in Step 2 (online registration form). Should an invoice be required to effect payment, replace the proof of payment document with a note (Word) requesting an invoice.
