About this course

The aim of this course is to provide a practical background on the work of a conveyancing assistant. Upon completion of the course, attendees should be able to cope better on their own in this fast-paced environment since the training is practice-orientated.  

Attendees will gain a better understanding of conveyancing and will obtain the tools to enable them to handle the registration of a property transaction more efficiently.

Presenter
Mike Gregory was admitted as a conveyancer and notary public in 1982. He started lecturing to attorneys wishing to write the conveyancing exam in 1993 and continues to do so for LEAD. He compiled the course material for the exam preparation course. Mr Gregory practices for his own account as a conveyancer dealing with township developments, transfers, mortgage bonds and general conveyancing transactions. He is also admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales where he has practised for a number of years.

Certification
Attendance at both sessions is mandatory to qualify for a certificate.

Office professionals who wish to achieve greater efficiency to work competently in a legal practice or individuals who want to enter the legal field of conveyancing.

The fee above does not include individual access to the PowerPoint slides or recordings.

Registration fee (including VAT):
Practising legal practitioners and other staff from firms:  R2 600 per person.
Non-practising legal practitioners/others:  R3 700 per person.

How to register 
Each participant must complete an individual online registration form using their own email address. Using a shared, generic, or assistant’s email address will result in an incorrect certificate being issued. One registration equals one attendee.

Payment must be made via EFT. Upload proof of payment (PDF) after completing the online registration form. If you need an invoice, upload a note (Word) requesting an invoice. Once payment is made, email proof to Annelie@LSSALEAD.org.za . Registrations cannot be finalized without proof of payment.
