About the authors

Ismail Hussain SC is a former Judge of the High Court; Competition Appeal Court and Court of Military Appeals. He served as an Electoral Commissioner and is a presenter at LEAD and has written numerous guides and manuals for LEAD.

Ettienne Barnard is a practising attorney and conveyancer with right of appearance in the High Court. He is a former Co-Chairperson of the Law Society of South Africa and is a current member of its Management Committee of the. He is also a current Vice President of the Cape Law Society.
