Specialising in customary law within your practice About this training programme Introduction The course is focused on providing the following: Determination of Learning Assessments Formative assessment: Activities during the online presentation of the course. Summative assessment: All registered students will be required to submit a portfolio as a summative assessment which is based on the work covered during both presentation and individual activities. A final mark of at least 50% will qualify the student for a certificate. Course Presenter He currently heads the firm’s Litigation Department. He has extensive experience in Personal Injury law, Medical Negligence, Road Accident Fund Litigation, and Third-party claims with both High Court and Magistrates Court Litigation. Mr Wadee’s experience with RAF and other litigation varies, having acted for the plaintiff, the RAF and insurance companies. His insight and proficiency in dealing with medical experts culminates in the firm’s successful quantification of medical negligence claims. Under his leadership, the Litigation Department has achieved substantial awards in various courts. As an executive member of the Johannesburg Attorneys Association, Soweto Legal Fraternity, and the Gauteng Attorneys Association, he is an expert member of the LSSA’s Personal Injury Committee. Who should register? Learners registering for this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in legal knowledge at NQF level 7 as contained in a recognised law degree such as B Proc or LLB or any other qualification recognised as equivalent to such a law degree in terms of legislation as indicated in the notes to the qualification Post graduate certificate in Attorneys Practice. Any prospective student who has any other appropriate degree or feels that the training will assist them within their area of responsibility can register for the course and may apply for recognition for prior learning. |
