Trust and Divorces (Seminar)

A one-day seminar focusing on trust and the abuse of trusts, particulary in divorce matters

This is an important update for all attorneys advising clients on the use and benefits of trusts and how the consequences of misuse, mismanagement and abuse of trusts will ‘come home to roost’.
The seminar content covers requirements for the establishment of a valid trust; continued administration of a trust and trustees duties; the abuse of trusts and hiding of assets in divorce matters; and case law – trusts in divorce matters.

Ceris Field holds the BA LLB degrees from the University of Cape Town. She is an admitted attorney, notary and conveyancer specialising in wills, trusts and the administration of deceased estates. She lectures throughout South Africa on the drafting of wills, testamentary trusts and the administration process involved in deceased estates. Ceris has been a presenter with LEAD for 20 years and consistently receives excellent feedback from the attendees. This year’s one-day seminar introduces something different to previous years that you may have attended.
