About this course and what the programme includes

The purpose of this course is to educate all interested parties in the skill of drafting wills as well as a living will, including the loopholes to look out for when drafting these documents. This course aims to develop practical procedures for attendees to assist in the effective drafting of a usable and legally correct will and living will, by taking into account the relevant legislation.

•    Understand the difference between testate and intestate law of succession
•    Know the contents of a basic will
•    Know the format of a legally binding will
•    Know the format and contents of a living will
•    Know the procedure to revoke a living will and the format thereof

Presenter
Kyle Kietzmann has been a practising attorney since 2014. He opened his practise in 2016 in Pretoria and opened a branch in Johannesburg in April 2022. His law firm specialises in civil matters, labour matters, criminal matters, debt collecting, deceased estates, contractual law, commercial law, family law, maintenance, protection orders.
As a lecturer for the Law Society of South Africa, Legal Education and Development (LEAD), he has lectured since 2016 in the following subjects: magistrates court practice, labour law, wills and estates, criminal law, debt collecting, casework, business writing, ethics, legal costs.

Registration fee categories (including VAT):

•    Practising legal practitioners and other staff from legal firms: R 1 650 per person.
•    Non-practising legal practitioners/others: R 2 500 per person.

How to register

Kindly note that you can only register online and that there are limited places available. Participants should be registered individually to enable the system to generate a unique username and password for each person.

Payment should be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) only. Once you have successfully registered to participate, you will receive confirmation that we have received your registration documentation. You will receive a system-generated e-mail with a link (Microsoft Teams) to the webinar at least 24 hours before the webinar starts.   • LSSA/LEAD reserves the right to postpone or cancel any program due to insufficient demand. In the event of a cancellation, registered delegates will be given reasonable notice, and all fees paid will be refunded.
