Michelle started her career in employment and labour law in November 1996 when she was appointed as an Associate to Judges of the Labour Court of South Africa.
She was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2002 and has specialised in Employment & Labour Law and Employment Equity compliance for over 23 years.
Michelle has served as an Acting Judge of the Labour Court on three occasions during 2013, 2024 and 2025. She is frequently sought after to chair complex disciplinary enquiries, conduct sensitive grievance investigations and facilitate large-scale retrenchment processes.
