Presenter
Razia Mahomed
Senior Lecturer in the Department of Private Law, UNISA
Razia obtained her LLB degree from the University of Pretoria in 2006 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2007.
She commenced her legal career at the UNISA Law Clinic, where she developed strong litigation skills, and later practised in her own firm, gaining extensive hands-on experience in civil and personal injury litigation.
In 2009, Razia began tutoring at the University of South Africa, where she discovered her passion for teaching and legal scholarship. She formally entered academia in 2012 and completed her LLM degree at the University of South Africa in 2014.
Razia has taught a range of substantive law modules, including Family Law, Law of Delict, Third-Party Compensation Law, and Delictual Damages at postgraduate level. Since 2018, she has specialised in teaching the Law of Damages.
Her academic work is closely informed by practice, and she has published in both accredited and non-accredited journals. Razia is currently enrolled for an LLD degree at the University of South Africa, with her research focusing on sports injury litigation.

Registrations are done online. For certification purposes, participants should register individually, using their own email address. This will enable the system to generate a unique username and password for each person.
