Conveyancing Exam Preparation Workshop: 2nd Intake

The SECOND Conveyancing examination for 2017 is just around the corner.

This workshop is primarily aimed at assisting candidates prepare for the Conveyancing Examination of 6 September 2017.

Cape Town: 30, 31 August, 1 September 2017 (Closing date - 22 August 2017)

Candidates should please being the following to the workshop: 

Essential publications

  1. Deeds Registries Act and Regulations (Juta publication)
  2. Transfer Duty Act
  3. Sectional Titles Act and Regulations (Juta publication)
  4. Alienation of Land Act

Useful additional documents

  1. Practitioner’s Guide to Conveyancing and Notarial Practice by Allen West available from sales@LSSALEAD.org.za.
  2. Chief Registrar’s Circulars and Conference Resolutions (Butterworth’s loose-leaf binder).
  3. Conveyancing Practice Guide, 4th Edition by J.O. Christie (LexisNexis publication: orders@lexisnexis.co.za)
  4. Conveyancing study notes by LEAD available from sales@LSSALEAD.org.za
  5. Relevant sections of other Acts as set out in the 2017 syllabus.

Please note that without the essential publications, you will lack the tools required for effective preparation and you will not derive the full benefit from the workshop.

For the Pretoria workshop, the following documents will suffice:

  2. LEAD study notes;
  3. “Legislation for LEAD Conveyancing and Notarial 2016” (available from sales@LSSALEAD.org.za); and
