Legal Education and Development (LEAD), the education division of the Law Society of South Africa, understands the needs of a modern-day law practice.
A variety of methods to access high-quality learning activities are offered to legal practitioners and legal support staff.
The Attorneys Fidelity Fund provides a subsidy to LEAD for the training of practising attorneys and candidate attorneys.

Deadline for second 2012 intake: 15 June.
The course was developed to assist attorneys manage their practices effectively by combining legal expertise with strategic business management.
This is mandatory training for all attorneys who are issued with their first Attorneys Fidelity Fund certificates, subsequent to 14 August 2009.

These are distance-learning programmes. Attorneys can upgrade their professional skills and specialisation in their own time in important fields of practice.
The programmes, in cooperation with universities, are offered in inter alia Corporate Law; Labour Law; Deceased Estates and Insolvency Litigation and Administration Practice.
