Evictions and Rental Recovery Workshop - New Content

About the workshop
The one-day workshop focuses on the practical application of the theory of eviction law. Both residential and commercial evictions are covered.

The workshop is not a repeat of the 2012 workshop and, therefore, will benefit both first time attendees and attendees of previous eviction law seminars
.

Topics to be included

  1. Commercial evictions: High Court and Magistrate’s Court;
  2. Residential evictions: Prevention of Illegal Evictions from and Unlawful Occupation of Land Act 19 of 1998 (PIE Act); Extension of Security of Tenure Act (ESTA); High Court and Magistrate’s Court; action and motion procedure; and rental claims.

Who should attend?
The workshop is aimed at legal practitioners.

Candidate attorneys as well as support staff assisting practitioners with eviction matters and rental claims will also benefit from attending this one-day workshop.
